Residential Drug & Alcohol Treatment Center for Substance Abuse That Works
1st Step Behavioral Health’s residential drug rehab and substance abuse treatment center provides personalized, compassionate care for individuals struggling with addiction or co-occurring mental health problems. Some individuals may be admitted directly to the residential treatment program, while others may first go through drug and alcohol detox and inpatient treatment, then later transfer into our residential program. Depending on a person’s evaluation and physical health and well-being, clients will work with a counselor to determine their Individual Plan for recovery, including determining what the most beneficial level of care will be at the outset. 1st Step’s philosophy is that there is not going to be one, linear path or standardized treatment program for addiction recovery.
By offering a variety of evidence based therapies and personalized methods, the aim of our residential drug treatment center is not to simply treat the symptoms of addiction, but to guide each person to their respective path toward recovery.
1st Step’s Residential Treatment Center
Our residential alcohol and drug treatment center offers an intensive and structured program in a home-like environment. We offer apartment style living with semi private rooms and shared living and recreation areas. The residential center utilizes medical staff and psychiatric care is available. Our compassionate and dedicated professional staff leads individual therapy, small and large group therapy, as well as gender group therapy. Clients who are able to begin residential treatment are those who are no longer at medical risk, but who will benefit from a residential setting. Residents’ daily responsibility during the hours of 9am to 5pm is to focus on themselves and their recovery, having various groups and independent therapies scheduled throughout the day. After programming, clients are able to go to the gym five nights a week, with the option to go to the wellness center for chiropractic and massage therapy.
Transportation is available for residents to go to 12 step meetings outside our center, to go on supervised grocery shopping trips, and to attend weekend fellowship activities.
The Family and Our Residential Drug Abuse Program
Our residential drug abuse program encourages family participation, and one of the most important aspects of the recovery process will be in restoring meaningful relationships and aspirations. At 1st Step, the families of individuals struggling with alcoholism, addiction and co-occurring disorders are not treated as outsiders, resigned to a “family weekend.” They are included in the process of recovery.
Our residential substance abuse program is aimed at promoting collaboration and incorporating the life skills that slip away when a person is wrapped up in their substance use. This is imperative to the ego-modification work done in therapy and in providing a foundation for recovery that withstands life’s challenges and hurdles. It is possible to change the cycle of addiction with the right support and direction. 1st Step wants to be a part of that change.
