Our Facility

Can I visit First Step before I commit to treatment?

Absolutely! We encourage all recovering individuals to get a better feel for the place by allowing us to give you a tour of the facility. We kindly ask that you contact us first so we can set up a day and time.

What should I bring?

Feel free to contact us for a better idea of what to bring as this is also dependent upon how long your specific program is. In all cases, you should bring:

  • Picture ID
  • Insurance card and RX card, if applicable
  • Insurance Subscriber’s Social Security Number and Date of Birth (if applicable)
  • Enough clothing for the duration of treatment (we kindly ask you to be mindful of the kind of clothing you bring. If you think a certain article of clothing will be a distraction during treatment, it’s probably best not to bring it).
  • Outdoor accessories such as sunglasses, hats, sunscreen, and rain gear
  • Electronics, such as cell phones and laptops – The admission team will hold on to these during your recovery journey so you can get the most out of treatment. All of your belongings will be returned after clinical approval.

What treatment programs are offered?

We offer a variety of treatment programs at our facility. Treatment programs range from intensive, residential care to outpatient programs where the individual simply travels to the facility for treatment.

What is aftercare planning?

Preventing relapse and ensuring a successful recovery is the main focus of post-rehab programs. Aftercare can include group therapy or individual counseling sessions at the facility. It can also mean partaking in a step-down program, such as outpatient treatment. We offer a variety of options in aftercare planning ranging from outpatient programs to recovery meetings at our facility.

Does First Step solely treat addiction or are mental-health concerns addressed too?

Mental Illness is absolutely addressed. We also offer dual diagnosis as a key component of our treatment programs. Dual diagnosis is the presence of both a substance abuse problem, as well as a mental health disorder. Treating the person as a whole requires addressing both parts of addiction.

We offer treatment services to target co-occurring disorders, such as:

  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy
  • Relapse prevention techniques
  • Social skills building

Is holistic care incorporated into treatment?

Holistic care can be an incredible supplement in addition to a comprehensive treatment plan. Members of our facility have access to many alternative holistic therapies. These therapies promote relaxation and can help alleviate withdrawal symptoms. Some of our holistic care options include:

  • Chiropractic support
  • Massage therapy
  • Yoga
  • Mindfulness meditation
  • Acupuncture

Is confidentiality guaranteed?

Yes – 100%. We will never share any information about your identity.

Is it possible to enroll in treatment while maintaining my job or schooling?

Most certainly. Although, it does depend on your specific treatment program. We offer outpatient rehabilitation and partial hospitalization programs to those with serious obligations outside of treatment. No matter how busy your schedule is, we’ll work around it and ensure that our program suits your needs best.

What kinds of addictions does First Step treat?

What is the cost of treatment?

The exact cost of treatment will vary based on the specific program. Residential treatment offers the most intensive level of care with full-use of amenities. Thus, this is typically the most expensive option. Our more flexible options such as outpatient treatment will be significantly less costly. The exact cost of treatment will also be dependent upon your insurance coverage.

How do I know if I’m covered by insurance?

We encourage you to give us a call to find out exactly what your insurance covers. We’ll reach out to your provider and do a comprehensive review of your plan. Then, we can go over what the most cost-effective options are for successful addiction recovery.

Are there other options for financing treatment at First Step?

If you’re not insured, don’t lose hope. Fortunately, there are other methods of financing treatment at our facility. You may qualify for a loan or perhaps you can create a fundraising page to earn money. There are different options you can look into if you require financing treatment at rehab. We encourage you to reach out to us so we can walk you through these different routes if insurance isn’t an option.
